Ted Budd

Biography

Ted Budd has represented the 13th District in Congress since 2017. Previously, he was a small business owner. He is a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, popular legislation to limit abortion after five months of pregnancy. Rep. Budd, his wife Amy Kate, and their three children live in Davie County, North Carolina.

Congressman Budd has stood up against the pro-abortion agenda of the Biden-Harris administration and Pelosi Democrats who are actively working to expand abortion access and abortion funding. Rep. Budd has voted consistently to defend the lives of the unborn and infants. This includes stopping hard-earned tax dollars from paying for abortion, whether domestically or internationally, and protecting health care provider rights for those who refuse to engage in brutal abortions.

Congressman Budd offered a unanimous consent request for consideration of H.R. 18, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, which would make the Hyde Amendment permanent. He has an A+ rating on the SBA Pro-Life America National Pro-Life Scorecard.
