Biography

Yvette Herrell (NM-02) is a native New Mexican and successful small business owner. Having served her community for many years as a state legislator, Yvette is passionate about representing her pro-life constituents in New Mexico’s 2nd District.

A proven leader on life, Yvette represented House District 51 from 2010 to 2020. As a member of SBA List’s National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus, she has co-sponsored several pro-life bills as well as introduced pain-capable legislation that would ban late-term abortions. She is a native New Mexican and member of Christ Community Church.

In Congress, Congresswoman Herrell has earned an A+ rating on SBA Pro-Life America's National Pro-Life Scorecard. She has stood up against the pro-abortion agenda of the Biden-Harris administration and Pelosi Democrats who are actively working to expand abortion access and abortion funding. Rep. Herrell has voted consistently to defend the lives of the unborn and infants. This includes stopping hard-earned tax dollars from paying for abortion, whether domestically or internationally, and protecting health care provider rights for those who refuse to engage in brutal abortions.

Rep. Herrell pressed witnesses in a hearing on the Equal Rights Amendment to admit that the ERA would force taxpayers to fund abortion.
