Susan B. Anthony List Will Mobilize Activists in Senator Tyler Pace’s District

Washington, D.C. –  The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) issued the following statement after the Arizona Senate failed to pass S.B. 1457 after state Senator Tyler Pace (R-25) voted against the bill:

“SBA List proudly supports S.B. 1457, which seeks to protect unborn children with disabilities and ensures the abortion industry cannot circumvent safety regulations by sending abortion pills by mail. We are mobilizing our activists to urge GOP Senator Tyler Pace to support this effort after he cast the deciding vote against the bill yesterday. We stand strongly with state Senator Nancy Barto and the Center for Arizona Policy as they work to get this life-saving legislation to Governor Ducey’s desk.”

David Prentice, Ph.D., vice president and research director of SBA List’s research arm Charlotte Lozier Institute, testified in support of the bill last month.

A Marist/Knights of Columbus poll earlier this year found that 70% of Americans – including 56% of those who identify as pro-choice, 59% of Democrats, and 70% of Independents – oppose abortion based on the expectation that an unborn child may have Down syndrome.

SBA List is a network of 900,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
