Dannenfelser: President Trump, Leader McConnell Hitting “Home Runs” on Judges

Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) celebrated the confirmation of Steve Grasz to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

“Today’s confirmation of Steve Grasz to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals is just the latest example of President Trump and Leader McConnell hitting home runs on judges,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “We thank President Trump for such strong, well-qualified judicial nominees and thank Leader McConnell for standing up to pro-abortion Democratic obstructionism and getting them confirmed.

“With a long record of distinguished service to Nebraska that has earned him praise across the political spectrum, Steve Grasz will no doubt be a fine appellate court judge who will rule with respect for the constitutional rights of all Americans.”

While serving as Nebraska’s Chief Deputy Attorney General, Judge Grasz authored nine briefs in the U.S. Supreme Court and defended the state’s ban on partial-birth abortion before the Supreme Court in Stenberg v. Carhart.

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, knocking on more than 1.1 million doors in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women.  The SBA List is a network of more than 600,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
