Washington, DC ─ Today, the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Rep. Frank Guinta in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District.  He faces Rep. Carol Shea-Porter on Election Day.

“Following his election in 2010, Congressman Guinta immediately voted to protect pro-life taxpayers by repealing Obamacare, the largest expansion of abortion on demand since Roe v. Wade,” said Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “He is an ardent defender of the unborn and their mothers and has been a strong pro-life partner in Washington. Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter on the other hand has repeatedly sided with abortion extremists as NARAL and Planned Parenthood, voting against common sense pro-life measures at every opportunity. New Hampshire women and families deserve better than Carol Shea-Porter and the SBA List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Congressman Frank Guinta.”

Rep. Guinta has a 100 percent pro-life voting record and has also earned the endorsement of the National Right to Life Committee. Former Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, has been endorsed by EMILY’s List, NARAL, and Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider. During her time in office, Shea-Porter held a 0 percent voting record with the National Right to Life Committee.

During the 2010 election cycle, SBA List spent $11 million and was involved in 90 races, 62 of which resulted in victories. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called “pro-life” Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill, increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent, filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate, and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its affiliated Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, are dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
