Washington, D.C. –  Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Representative Vicky Hartzler for re-election in Missouri’s 4th Congressional District.

“Vicky Hartzler is one of Congress’s most dynamic pro-life, pro-woman leaders,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Congresswoman Hartzler has co-sponsored well over a dozen important pro-life bills, including legislation to protect unborn children from late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy, stop taxpayer funding of abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood, and recognize pro-life pregnancy centers for their outstanding service to millions of women and families. Her opponent is an extremist who has sought the endorsement of the radical pro-abortion group EMILY’s List. In contrast, Vicky has always championed Missouri’s pro-life values. SBA List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Congresswoman Hartzler and we look forward to seeing her re-elected.”

Rep. Vicky Hartzler has represented Missouri’s 4th District since 2011 and is co-chair of the House Values Action Team. She served on the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, tasked with investigating Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry’s role in the harvest and sale of baby body parts, and has worked to expose Planned Parenthood’s systematic failure to report suspected human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Rep. Hartzler is a co-sponsor of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, the Conscience Protection Act, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act, the Heartbeat Protection Act, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA), the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, and many more. She has spoken in favor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act on the House floor.

Prior to serving in Congress, Rep. Hartzler was a public school teacher, farmer, and small business owner. She lives in Harrisonville with her husband and daughter.

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 690,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
