Washington, D.C. – Tonight the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) celebrated as its endorsed candidate Yvette Herrell won her primary for U.S. House of Representatives in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District.
“We congratulate Yvette Herrell on her primary win,” said former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Herrell is an active member of SBA List’s National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus and a vocal advocate for unborn children and their mothers. As a state legislator she has worked hard to end cruel late-term abortions and hold the abortion industry and its allies accountable for their role in the harvest and sale of baby body parts. We are confident she will hit the ground running in Washington and we encourage pro-life voters to support her at the polls this November.”
Herrell has served in New Mexico’s House of Representatives since 2011. She has sponsored legislation to protect babies born alive in failed abortions, ban late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy, and require the University of New Mexico to report on the use of aborted baby body parts for research. Herrell is a member of SBA List’s National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus.
