Susan B. Anthony List Completes Bus Tour, Ad Campaign Across Key Primary States
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This morning, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) praised Rick Santorum’s strong performance across the Super Tuesday state primaries, showing the importance of social issues to primary voters. The group completed a multi-state bus tour mobilization effort and Ohio statewide radio ad campaign which rallied supporters in support of Santorum’s presidential candidacy leading up to the Tuesday primary.
“Sen. Santorum’s wins in Tennessee, Oklahoma and North Dakota, and his strong performance in Ohio show voters aren’t happy with President Obama’s assault on conscience, religious liberty and the rights of the unborn,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of SBA List. “Santorum has been a consistent and strong leader on social issues, and his candidacy shows the grassroots are energized. Last night’s exit polling also showed that Santorum is surging in popularity among young people. They expect a nominee who will fight for them.
“Polls show Santorum running neck and neck with President Obama in a head-to-head matchup. He is our best chance of defeating the most pro-abortion president in our history.”
Leading up to Super Tuesday, the SBA List completed a bus tour which traveled across Ohio, as well as Michigan, Tennessee and Georgia, rallying women and mobilizing social conservatives to support and vote for Rick Santorum in those key primaries. This coincided with a $200,000 radio ad campaign with the message that Santorum is the only principled leader to take on President Obama.
The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of more than 365,000 Americans dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.
