With an estimated 3,500 abortions happening daily, Planned Parenthood performs 915 of them. In April 2013, Students for Life of America launched a two week tour called “The Planned Parenthood Project”.
As part of the project, 915 “Planned Parenthood pink” crosses and informational materials are placed on college and university quads in order to highlight the huge number of abortions carried out by Planned Parenthood each day. The awareness campaign aims to show college students that Planned Parenthood is not simply a “women’s health” clinic, but the abortion giant.
Students for Life traveled to eight campuses including, The University of Cincinnati, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Seton Hall University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and University of Alabama-Birmingham. Plans are to continue “The Planned Parenthood Project” this fall.
In addition to this campaign, SFLA also recently started a monthly web-show to feature the accomplishments of high school and college pro-life groups. The first episode, released at the end of May, shares the success that SFLA had at Seton Hall University with the “Planned Parenthood Project,” exposing a secret pro-abortion student group.
