Justice Rowe: The Issues Are “Political Questions”

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.
– Oklahoma’s nine-month protection for unborn children remains despite today’s state Supreme Court decision, according to Attorney General Gentner Drummond.

Gov. Kevin Stitt in a statement expressed disappointment with the state Supreme Court’s activism:

“This court has once more over-involved itself in the state’s democratic process, and has interceded to undo legislation created by the will of the people. I agree with Justice Rowe’s dissent, ‘The issues presented in this matter are political questions, which are better resolved by the people via our democratic process.”

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Southern Regional Director Caitlin Connors also commented:

“The abortion industry has been terribly ineffective at getting their laws passed in states like Oklahoma. Because they can’t move the needle through the democratic process in the statehouses, they’re trying to impose their will and profit motive on the people through litigation. When judges legislate from the bench on the issue of abortion, they’re siding with Planned Parenthood and furthering the abortion industry’s goal of abortion up until birth that is only supported by 10% of the American people.”

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is a network of more than one million pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
