Scandal Unfolds as Democrats Push Abortion Amendment to End Parental Consent 

FAIRFAX, Virg. – Tonight, the Fairfax County School Board devoted only a few minutes of its monthly meeting to the troubling allegations that its school officials coerced and trafficked girls to get abortions behind their parents’ backs. Despite a crowd of concerned parents and citizens that assembled outside prior to the meeting, the school board did not include the allegations on the agenda and only granted two public comment speaking slots to members of the public on the matter.

As first reported by independent journalist Walter Curt, a Centreville High School social worker allegedly worked with the school principal to staff send girls to abortion facilities and may have used school funds to pay for the abortions. One girl was five months pregnant and fled the abortion facility to save her baby’s life.

Fairfax County Public Schools officials claimed they learned of the accusations earlier this month. However, audio from a whistleblower – a teacher in whom the girls confided – indicates a years-long cover-up attempt by FCPS officials. Gov. Glenn Youngkin has launched a criminal investigation into the allegations.

Virginia high school mom and VP of Communications for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, Emily Davis, stated:

“I’m thankful to Gov. Youngkin for getting to the bottom of this. Virginia parents need to know, are these allegations of abortion trafficking true? How many other parents have been left in the dark while schools shuttle their daughters to abortion facilities? Are our daughters safe? This situation demands transparency, but instead the Fairfax County School system evaded answers and accountability during its school board meeting tonight.

“From Loudoun to Fairfax county, to communities across this great state, Virginia parents will not stand to have our rights stripped away. This horrific scandal is breaking as Democrats push for an abortion amendment that would end parental rights for abortion entirely in Virginia. If they win the General Assembly in November, they will pass this amendment that could allow abusers, traffickers and irresponsible school officials to coerce girls into abortions without parents ever knowing. We can’t let this amendment end parental rights and become our reality statewide.”

In January, Democrats in the General Assembly passed a resolution to amend the state constitution to allow all-trimester abortion, eliminate parental consent, end health protections for women and girls, and force taxpayers to fund abortion. To be placed on the ballot, the amendment must be approved by the General Assembly again after the November election.

This summer, Women Speak Out Virginia – 2025, a partner of SBA Pro-Life America, deployed 100 field team workers to visit the homes of 150,000 voters in Richmond and Virginia Beach to support Republicans in securing a majority in the House of Delegates to stop a potential all-trimester abortion ballot measure.
