Pro-life AG will Hold the Abortion Industry Accountable
Washington, DC â Today the Senate voted to confirm Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as the next United States Attorney General. In response, Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser offered the following comment:
âWe congratulate Jeff Sessions on his confirmation as Attorney General. He is a principled pro-life advocate who brings a lifetime of experience to this key office,â said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony List. âWith his confirmation, Congress has officially turned the page on eight years of the Obama Justice Departmentâs willful blindness toward the negligent and abusive practices endemic to the abortion industry. Attorney General Sessions will defend the constitutional right to life of every American, including the unborn, and set the tone for the entire department. This is especially crucial as Planned Parenthood and its associates face criminal prosecution for their scheme to profit from selling baby body parts. Attorney General Sessions will hold the abortion industry accountable.â
While serving in the Senate, Sessions held a 100 percent pro-life voting record. He was a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, SBA Listâs top legislative priority.
Susan B. Anthony List and its connected super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, knocking on more than 1.1 million doors in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. Â The SBA List is a network of more than 465,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
