SBA List Candidate Fund Endorses Leslie Rutledge for Re-election as Arkansas’ Attorney General
Washington, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Attorney General Leslie Rutledge for re-election.
“As attorney general and a mother, Leslie Rutledge understands every life is precious and worth fighting for,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Leslie is a strong leader with a proven record of success in standing up to the abortion industry, including America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. She will vigorously defend Arkansas’ pro-life laws that protect the most vulnerable. We are proud to endorse Leslie Rutledge and encourage Arkansas voters to re-elect her.”
Leslie Rutledge has served as attorney general of Arkansas since 2015 as the first woman and first Republican in state history to be elected to the office. She is also the first Constitutional officer in the history of Arkansas to give birth while holding office. Rutledge currently serves as Chair of the Republican Attorneys General Association, Vice Chair of the National Association of Attorneys General-Southern Region and Co-Chair of the Agriculture Committee. In addition to having worked as a prosecutor, she also served as legal counsel for Governor Mike Huckabee, Huckabee for President 2008, the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee and the Republican National Committee before founding and practicing at The Rutledge Firm, PLLC. She and her husband Boyce welcomed their first child this July and live in Pulaski County and farm in Crittenden County, Arkansas.
