An LA Times’ blogger is reporting that many in the Hollywood industry are delighted with President Obama decision to fund controversial human embryonic stem cell research.
Former President of Paramount Pictures, Sherry Lansing, said in response to the decision, “I’ve gotten tons of calls. This will lead to huge advances in fighting diseases like cancer and diabetes. Obama, has done everything he said he would do. It’s thrilling.”
It’s hard to believe that someone could be thrilled by the descruction of human life and unethical research. One can’t help but wonder why Hollywood elites aren’t advocating for adult stem cell research, which now has an extensive track record of successfully treating disease.
