Washington, D.C. ─ The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) declared victory as its endorsed candidate, Bunni Pounds, advanced to the runoff in her primary for U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 5th congressional district. The runoff election is May 22nd.
“We are excited to see Bunni Pounds, an outstanding pro-life leader, advance in her House race,” said former U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Bunni is a longtime advocate of unborn children and their mothers who prioritizes the protection of innocent lives and can be depended on to stand up to the abortion lobby. We hope to see her in Congress, where her voice is so greatly needed, and urge the pro-life citizens of Texas to support her in the runoff election.”
Bunni Pounds is a small business owner and former staff member for Congressman Jeb Hensarling, who has endorsed Pounds in her run for Congress. Pounds and her husband are active members of their church and are involved in Christian ministry.
