SBA List-Endorsed Pam Bondi Claims Primary Win in Florida AG Race

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund-endorsed Pam Bondi qualified for the November general election for Florida’s Attorney General race.  If elected, Bondi will become the first woman to serve as Florida’s Attorney General.

“This year Attorneys General races should be a top priority for the pro-life movement,” SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said.  “Pam Bondi’s 18 years of experience as a prosecutor and commitment to repealing abortion funding in the health care law make her an exceptionally qualified woman to defend the pro-woman, pro-life legal position.”

Bondi served for 18 years as a prosecutor and Assistant State Attorney.  Bondi also sat on the Executive Committee for budget, personnel and legal strategies and has appeared as a commentator on Fox News’ “On The Record” with Greta Van Susteren.  In 2001, the Tampa Bay Review named her one of its “Lawyers of Distinction.”

“The Susan B. Anthony List is proud to support an authentic pro-life woman leader like Pam Bondi as she moves on to the general election,” Dannenfelser said.  “Pam Bondi is exactly the type of Attorney General Floridians need to have in the fight against taxpayer funding of abortion at all levels of government.

“A new women’s movement which affirms its original pro-life roots is making its way across the country, and Pam Bondi is one of its brightest new stars.”

Pam Bondi will face the winner of the Democratic Primary in the November general election.

The Susan B. Anthony List plans to spend $6 million on voter education in the midterm elections, including $3 million on key Senate races, $1 million in bundled direct candidate contributions from SBA List members and $1.5 million on its plan to target “pro-life” Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care bill.  The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of over 280,000 Americans, residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics.  Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.
