Dannenfelser: An Historic Milestone for Pro-life Women and a Victory for President Trump & Pro-life Senate Leaders
Washington, D.C. – Today the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee voted to recommend President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, for confirmation, setting up a final vote by the full Senate as early as Monday.
The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) praised the vote in a statement:
“Today’s vote is an historic milestone for the pro-life movement, especially pro-life women, as Amy Barrett advances one step closer toward a seat on the nation’s highest court,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “In last week’s hearings, Judge Barrett’s formidable intellect and principled constitutionalist philosophy shone throughout hours of questioning. In the face of pro-abortion Democrats’ fearmongering and their media allies’ attacks on her Catholic faith, she showed grace and dignity. There is no question Barrett is exceptionally qualified to serve on the Supreme Court.
“We are so grateful to President Trump, Leader McConnell, Chairman Graham, and all our allies on the Judiciary Committee for their commitment to Judge Barrett throughout this process. Moreover, pro-life senators seized the opportunity to go on offense and educate America about the extremism of Roe v. Wade. We thank them all and greatly look forward to seeing Barrett confirmed by the full Senate.”
SBA List is tracking the pro-life accomplishments of the Trump-Pence administration, as well as the abortion extremism of the Biden-Harris ticket at www.LifeOnTheBallot.com.
SBA List is a network of 900,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
