Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) made the following statement after the Wall Street Journal reported the Trump Administration is poised to roll back Obama’s assault on the conscience rights of Americans who have a religious or moral objection to paying for abortion-inducing drugs:
“We welcome the news that long-awaited relief from the onerous HHS mandate will soon be finalized. No one, including religious orders like the Little Sisters of the Poor, or groups like Susan B. Anthony List, should be forced to be complicit in the provision of abortion-inducing drugs and devices. This cannot in any sense be considered legitimate health care. We thank President Trump and HHS Secretary Price for their continued work and encourage them to fulfill this key promise to voters of faith and conscience as swiftly as possible.”
The SBA Pro-Life America National Pro-life Scorecard is a tool that helps hold members of Congress accountable for their legislative records on life and that highlights leadership in the fight to serve women and save babies.
