Removing the Filibuster Paves the Way for Extreme Biden-Harris Democrats to Expand the Supreme Court, Impose Abortion On Demand
Washington, D.C. – A new poll of West Virginia voters released today by the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) finds that, by almost two to one, West Virginians oppose radical pro-abortion policies that could be imposed unilaterally if the U.S. Senate were to eliminate the legislative filibuster. U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) has said he opposes the removal of the filibuster.
The poll was conducted by Mark Blankenship Enterprises and surveyed 504 registered, likely West Virginia voters by telephone the week of January 25, 2021. See the memo for more details.
Key findings include:
SBA List previously launched a six-figure campaign to thank Manchin for standing up for pro-life West Virginia values by opposing removal of the filibuster. The campaign includes radio ads, digital ads, and a grassroots phone call campaign.

Wade, and forcing hardworking taxpayers to fund abortion businesses at home and overseas. Susan B. Anthony List is mobilizing pro-life West Virginians to thank Sen. Joe Manchin for standing up to Chuck Schumer and others in his party to preserve the filibuster – a longstanding, crucial check on extreme agendas. Removing the filibuster would pave the way for pro-abortion radicals to impose abortion on demand through birth, paid for with tax dollars. We encourage Manchin to continue doing right by his constituents and stand strong for life.”
In 2018, West Virginians voted for a pro-life amendment to their state constitution. SBA List’s West Virginia field team was active on the ground, visiting more than 110,000 voters in the Mountain State urging them to vote yes on Amendment 1.
