Today, Tuesday, November 19th, is Election Day in Albuquerque, NM. This morning, the Susan B. Anthony List launched a final radio ad urging voters to support the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance. This ordinance would stop abortion after 20 weeks, or more than halfway through pregnancy.
Here is a script of the ad:
The whole world is watching Albuquerque today…because our special election is about a clear choice.
Will we choose to protect babies in the womb who feel pain at 5 months?
Or continue to be one of the few remaining places…to allow late-term abortions – right up to birth?
The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance is literally a life or death choice. And today…is the day…to choose.
Voting FOR – protects babies’ lives and women’s health.
Voting FOR – stops abortions after five months.
Voting FOR – is the most human thing we can do.
After all, allowing abortion at the point a baby feels pain?
We should all say, “That just goes too far.”
Today is the day. The choice is clear.
Will your vote show the world the human heart of Albuquerque?
Please, vote FOR the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance…
