Starting today, and each weekday hereafter, we will be posting one of our “One Minute Commentary” segments on the SuzyB Blog and Facebook. Today’s commentary concerns recent actions taken by a British pro-assisted suicide group.
Recently, a pro-assisted suicide group, inappropriately named Compassion in Dying, launched a hotline. Instead of helping individuals cope with life-endangering issues, this group informs callers of their legal rights to commit suicide. Even though it is actually a crime in Great Britain to assist a person in committing suicide, some wonder whether or not the operators of the new hotline will experience any legal repercussions.
