Singing sensation Susan Boyle has shattered the mold of who a successful and talented singer should be. The 49-year-old astonished everyone in 2009 when she gave her show-stopping performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” on Britain’s Got Talent.
Well, LifeSiteNews.com reported this morning that in her new autobiography Susan reveals that doctors had advised her mother to abort her because the pregnancy was too risky. Fortunately, Boyle’s mother disregarded this advice as “unthinkable.” Even after giving birth to Susan, the doctors warned that “’Susan will never come to anything so don’t expect too much of her.’”
Both Susan and her mother have proven those doctors incredibly wrong.
Susan’s debut album sold 9 million copies in the first 6 weeks. This not only made it the top selling album of the year, but also gave Susan the Guinness Book of World Records title of “#1 female artist in the UK with the fastest selling debut album.”
Susan’s unbelievable rise to stardom has inspired millions of ordinary people to pursue their dreams. Yet, this international hero could have simply been terminated if her mother had not valued her unborn daughter’s life and had given in to the pressure to abort her.
