During his campaign for governor, Tim Walz bragged that his record is so pro-abortion, ââŠNancy Pelosi asked me if I should tone it down. I stand with Planned Parenthood.â When Kamala Harris became the first vice president to visit a Planned Parenthood abortion facility, it was Governor Tim Walz who escorted her and campaigned with her at the event. Meanwhile, Tim Walz targeted pregnancy centers by eliminating Minnesotaâs âPositive Alternativesâ program, which provided over $3 million in funding to pregnancy centers in the state which aim to meet the needs of mothers, especially those facing pressure or coercion.
As governor, Tim Walz proudly signed legislation wiping away Minnesotaâs 24-week abortion limit, allowing unlimited abortion even in the seventh, eighth, and ninth month of pregnancy in the state. This contradicts the stance he took when he ran for governor, in which he declared he supported âmaintaining the timelines outlined by current lawâ and accused Republicans of lying when they said he supported unlimited abortion.
Tim Walz signed legislation increasing taxpayer support for Medicaid-funded abortions in Minnesota. There is no doubt that if nationally elected, Mrs. Harris and Mr. Walz will do everything they can to force taxpayer funding of abortions nationwide, theyâve already supported it through Congressional legislation. While in Congress, Mr. Walz consistently voted for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.
Tim Walz exposed his hypocrisy on womenâs rights when he purposefully got rid of Minnesotaâs law forbidding women to be coerced into having abortions. He even repealed the requirement that women must be given informed consent â any consent â to an abortion.
As governor, Tim Walz signed legislation repealing protections for babies born alive after an attempted abortion â AND wiped away state reporting requirements. Between his inauguration and the repeal of the law, Minnesota reported eight babies born alive following attempted abortions â all of whom died. Such reporting undercut Democrat claims that abortion survivors are a myth â so Walz fixed the problem and got rid of both the protections and the reporting. This was probably especially important to Walz given the likelihood of live births during second- and third-trimester abortions allowed under Minnesotaâs expansive new law. In 2017, a woman came forward to allege that Planned Parenthood in St. Paul told her, âWe donât tell women this, and a lot of women donât even ask this question, but if [the doctor] was to proceed with the abortion and the baby was to come out still alive and active, most likely we would break the babyâs neck.â
77% of voters believe babies who survive an abortion should be given the same medical attention a baby born at the same age would receive.
