Talking points:
1) Give the staff person who answers the phone your name & address. Make sure they know you live in the district if you are from their district.
2) Tell the staff person that you strongly urge your Representative to OPPOSE the Senate health care bill because the bill contains many pro-abortion provisions and the majority of Americans do not want to fund abortions.
3) Ask how your Representative intends to vote on the Senate health care bill.
4) Please report to SBA List on the form below what response you receive from the staffer.
5) If your Representative’s staff person insists that the bill “does not allow federal funding of abortion,” tell the staff person that you have access to detailed information on the issue and politely insist that the staff person simply report your position to the Representative. Do not feel that you need to engage the staffer, instead please enter that information below and the SBA List will contact that Representative’s office.
