SBA List’s Sue Liebel will Testify in Support of S.B. 50 Today at 12PM

Washington, D.C.  – Today at 12 PM, Sue Swayze Liebel, state director and coordinator of the National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus for Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), will testify before the Health & Family Services Committee of the Kentucky House of Representatives in support of S.B. 50, “An act relating to reporting the dispensing of prescriptions to induce abortion.” S.B. 50 enhances the state’s collection of vital statistics on chemical abortions and potentially dangerous complications arising from the use of abortion drugs.

WHO:             Sue Swayze Liebel, SBA List’s state director and National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus coordinator

WHAT:          Hearing on S.B. 50, “An act relating to reporting the dispensing of prescriptions to induce abortion”

WHEN:          Thursday, February 21

12 PM

WHERE:        Kentucky State Capitol, Annex Room 169

700 Capitol Ave.

Frankfort, KY 40601

“Chemical abortions are being heavily promoted by abortion activists and make up a growing percentage of abortions in the United States,” said Liebel. “The bill under consideration will be a major improvement as it will not only enhance the collection of basic statistics on chemical abortion, but also track complications, which are known to occur at a four times greater rate with drug-induced abortions compared to surgical abortion. The public deserves to know how often these dangerous drugs are prescribed and how many women suffer harm because of them. S.B. 50 is a very positive step to address this increasing public health concern and we urge the Kentucky legislature to pass it.”
