Pregnancy Centers Offer Assistance to Moms in Need, Most Americans Support Nonprofits Assisting Pregnant Women
Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America called out Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) for spreading misinformation about pro-life pregnancy centers. More than 2,700 pregnancy centers nationwide provide mothers and families support during unexpected pregnancies. SBA Pro-Life America has documented more than 80 incidents of pro-abortion vandalism, violence and intimidation since the Dobbs opinion was leaked.
“Senator Cortez Masto and pro-abortion Democrats’ efforts to scare women away from receiving the vital care and support they receive from pro-life pregnancy centers in order to prop up the abortion industry is shameful and unconscionable,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Nearly 3,000 pro-life pregnancy centers nationwide serve millions of women and families each year, providing millions of dollars’ worth of material assistance and vital services typically at no charge. Pregnancy centers not only offer women real choices, they have an average customer satisfaction rate of 99%.”
Polling released by SBA Pro-Life America this summer found that pregnancy centers enjoy strong support from a majority (76 percent) of voters, including 73% of Democrats and 73% of pro-choice voters.
“Senator Cortez Masto’s extreme pro-abortion views are out of touch with voters in her own party and out of step with Nevadans,” added Dannenfelser. “That’s why the SBA Pro-Life America field team is going door to door across the state to meet voters at their homes to educate them on her radical pro-abortion agenda and encourage them to vote for life this November.”
A new analysis from Charlotte Lozier Institute finds 14 community-based health clinics and pregnancy centers for every Planned Parenthood facility in the United States. In Nevada the ratio is 12:1.
SBA Pro-Life America and its partner, Women Speak Out PAC, have boots on the ground in Nevada and plan to visit over 325,000 homes to educate voters about the candidates’ record on life. This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its entities plan to spend $78 million to protect life across America. This includes reaching eight million voters across battleground states – four million directly at their doors – to take back the U.S. House and Senate.
