SBA List Ground Team is Exposing Murphy’s Extremism on Abortion, Reaching Pro-life Democrats, Hispanics

Washington, D.C. – Tonight Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) congratulated Marco Rubio (R-FL) on his Senate primary win, saying:

“Marco Rubio is one of the strongest, most articulate champions in the fight for life and we congratulate him on this primary win. Our Florida field team has knocked on more than 250,000 doors across the state, laying the ground work for Rubio’s general election victory in November. Not only are we talking to inconsistent pro-life voters and encouraging them to vote, we’re also reaching persuadable Democrats – including Hispanics. Patrick Murphy’s position in favor of forcing taxpayers to fund late-term abortion up until the moment of birth is so extreme and unpopular, we know it will cost him at the ballot box with these groups.”

To date, SBA List field team of nearly 400 pro-life activists has knocked on more than half a million doors across the battleground states of Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. SBA List has more than 120 pro-life canvassers in Florida alone.

Susan B. Anthony List and its Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, spent $16.71 million in the 2014 election cycle to defeat pro-abortion incumbents and elect pro-life candidates to federal and statewide office. The SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women.  The SBA List is a network of more than 465,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
