Washington, D.C. –  Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and Wink Hartman for governor and lieutenant governor of Kansas.

“Kris Kobach is committed to Kansas’ strong culture of life and will work to expand protections for the innocent and vulnerable,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Kris has been active in pro-life advocacy, helping to write pro-life legislation and volunteering with his family at local pregnancy centers. His opponent, Laura Kelly, is an extremist backed by radical pro-abortion groups like Planned Parenthood and EMILY’s List. She is dramatically out of step with the values of the people she seeks to represent. Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Kris Kobach and Wink Hartman. They will make a strong team standing up for life in Topeka.”

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is a former chairman of the Kansas Republican Party and a member of the City Council of Overland Park. He lives on a farm in Lecompton with his wife Heather, where their five daughters are homeschooled.

Wink Hartman has served on the boards of the Kansas Humane Society, the Wichita Sports Commission, and is Chairman of Vintage Bank Kansas. Wink and his wife Libba have five children and reside on a farm outside of Rose Hill.

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 700,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
