Dannenfelser: “Carly’s persuasive, engaging style clearly resonates…”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) noted Carly Fiorina’s rise in New Hampshire. The latest PPP poll shows Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, in the top three Republican presidential candidates.
“This is a breakthrough moment,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, which seeks to increase the number of pro-life women in elected office. “It may have been a long time coming, but a correction is in fact occurring. Women in the mold of Susan B. Anthony, who affirmed the right of both mother and child, are succeeding more than ever before. Carly’s climb in New Hampshire, an important state along with Iowa and South Carolina in picking the GOP nominee, is an encouraging indication of a broader trend.
“Carly Fiorina’s life-affirming approach is one we hope to see all candidates embrace; when it comes to rights, all boats rise with the tide. In the words of Susan B. Anthony herself, ‘men their rights and nothing more; women their rights and nothing less.’ Carly’s persuasive and engaging approach which focuses upon individuals and developing their potential is refreshing, and clearly resonates with Republican primary voters.”
The Susan B. Anthony List and its Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, spent $15.25 million in the 2014 election cycle to defeat pro-abortion incumbents and elect pro-life candidates to federal and statewide office. The SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
