At Six Weeks, Unborn Baby’s Heart Rate is Approx. 110 Beats Per Minute
Washington, D.C. – Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America slammed Stacey Abrams for denying that unborn children have heartbeats by six weeks:
“Stacey Abrams not only denies science, she denies the firsthand experience of countless mothers and fathers on hearing their child’s heartbeat for the first time. This shows how far pro-abortion Democrats will go to strip the unborn of humanity and promote abortion on demand for any reason, at any point in pregnancy up until birth,” said Dannenfelser. “At six weeks, stunning videography reveals the unborn baby’s heart beating away at an average rate of approximately 110 beats per minute, easily detectable by ultrasound. By 15 weeks, science informs us that same heart will have beat nearly 16 million times, and the child can feel pain.
“Across the nation, Democrat candidates like John Fetterman, Tim Ryan, Raphael Warnock, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Kelly and others refuse to name a single limit on abortion they support. We demand they tell the voters whether they agree with Abrams or with well-established scientific facts, compassion and the views of the overwhelming majority of Americans. Our ground team is working tirelessly to hold them accountable.”
In July, a federal judge ruled that Georgia’s law protecting unborn children when their heartbeat can be detected could go into effect. The law also counts unborn children as part of Georgia’s population, allows parents to claim their unborn baby as a dependent on state income taxes, and also allows for pregnant mothers to receive child support for their unborn child.
