Partner PAC of National Pro-Life Group Susan B. Anthony List Launches Multi-Pronged Effort for Pro-Life Gubernatorial Candidate Glenn Youngkin

Washington, D.C. – Today Women Speak Out Virginia – 2021, partner PAC of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), announced a $1.4 million campaign to expose Terry McAuliffe’s abortion extremism and urge support for Glenn Youngkin in the Virginia gubernatorial race, as well as 11 pro-life candidates running for the Virginia House of Delegates.

The independent expenditure campaign includes hard-hitting digital ads and voter contact mail to persuadable as well as pro-life voters who don’t consistently vote.

“Terry McAuliffe’s abortion extremism is an affront to voters across the commonwealth,” said Mallory Quigley, national spokeswoman for Women Speak Out Virginia – 2021 PAC. “Our campaign underscores the contrast that Glenn Younkin has made clear throughout this race: McAuliffe stands in lockstep with the abortion industry in support of late-term abortions on fully-developed unborn babies who feel pain, barbaric partial-birth abortions, and even infanticide – all paid for by taxpayer dollars. His position is not only morally repugnant – it is politically repellent. Pro-life is a winning issue in Virginia and across the country.”

SBA List’s Candidate Fund PAC previously endorsed Youngkin and made public a letter from Youngkin to the pro-life movement in which the candidate outlined pro-life policy commitments, including advocating for legislation to limit late-term abortions when unborn children can feel pain and working to stop taxpayer-funded abortions. Youngkin also criticized current Governor Ralph Northam’s endorsement of infanticide and Democratic opponent Terry McAuliffe’s support for failed legislation that would have expanded abortion on demand through birth in Virginia.

The Women Speak Out PAC Virginia – 2021 campaign also supports Nick Clemente – District 10, Jason Ballard – District 12, Tanya Gould – District 21, Tara Durant – District 28, Harold Pyon – District 40, Otto Wachsmann – District 75, Tim Anderson – District 83, Karen Greenhalgh – District 85, A.C. Cordoza – District 91, Jordan Gray – District 93, and Russ Harper – District 94.

Recent polling shows strong majorities of Americans reject abortion extremism and politicians who support it:

  • 65% of Americans support limits on late-term abortion in the second trimester, and 80% said that about the third trimester.
  • 53% of likely voters are more likely to vote for a Republican candidate who supports a 15-week limit on abortion versus just 28% of voters who prefer a Democratic candidate who supports unlimited abortion up until the moment of birth. Independent voters break strongly to the GOP side by a 54% to 18% margin.
  • 77% of Americans oppose using taxpayer dollars to promote abortion overseas, and 58% oppose using taxpayer money to fund abortions in the United States.

Paid for by Women Speak Out Virginia – 2021.  Not authorized by a candidate.
