Unique among national pro-life organizations, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) and our partner, Women Speak Out (WSO) PAC, run a highly effective and targeted voter contact program every election cycle. Our program focuses on states where a narrow margin can significantly impact presidential and Senate races. Using a data-driven strategy, we pinpoint crucial voter segments: low-turnout pro-life voters who need encouragement to cast their ballots, and persuadable “double impact” voters, including pro-life Democrats and independents who can be swayed from supporting abortion extremists. By highlighting the radical pro-abortion stances of Democratic candidates, we aim to shift their votes to pro-life candidates, creating a “double impact” at the polls. This comprehensive effort is executed by our dedicated team of trained and paid pro-life canvassers, who work tirelessly on the ground to reach and engage our targeted voters.
These remarkable individuals are dedicated to the cause of life above any political affiliation. They possess both the skills to handle this crucial work and the compassionate hearts needed to connect with others. Each day in the field, our canvassers encounter people dealing with personal tragedies—such as recent miscarriages or a loved one’s abortion—so we train them to respond with sensitivity, offer support, and suggest appropriate resources. Many of our canvassers return cycle after cycle, driven by the belief that every home they visit presents an opportunity to change a voter’s mind.
Every day our canvassers share with us impactful stories that highlight the effectiveness of our efforts and reveal Americans’ true beliefs on abortion. For example, Deborah, a canvasser in Cleveland, Ohio—a key area for both the Presidential and Senate races—recently made a significant impact. During a deployment, Deborah spoke with a pro-life voter who had previously supported Senator Sherrod Brown. This voter was unaware of Brown’s pro-abortion stance, and after Deborah explained his policies, the voter decided she could no longer support him in the upcoming election. Deborah has influenced many voters in a similar way. For instance, another pro-life woman, who had initially planned to vote for Brown, reconsidered her choice after an enlightening and informative conversation with Deborah. Like others, she ultimately decided to vote for life in November.
These stories are common among SBA and WSO’s canvassers. Each deployment, our team engages with thousands of voters who either support pro-abortion Democrats or consider themselves pro-choice. For example, Lacy, a canvasser in Arizona recently had an in-depth conversation with Yvette, a self-proclaimed pro-choice voter who “supports a woman’s right to choose.” With compassion, Lacy explained the horrors of late-term abortion to her, and as a result, Yvette decided she could no longer support pro-abortion Senate candidate Ruben Gallego or Kamala Harris.
These passionately pro-life canvassers are the driving force behind our voter contact program, making our efforts a powerful tool in the pro-life movement. Their dedication and hard work ensure that our program serves as the political muscle needed to elect leaders who will uphold their constitutional duty to protect life. Their inspiring stories demonstrate that when given accurate information, Americans support limits on abortion, and with our focused outreach, we can effectively inform voters on the extreme positions of Democrats. Their relentless efforts show just how important grassroots engagement is in influencing elections and advancing the pro-life cause.

“This is Suzan. Though she’s a Democrat and considers herself pro-choice, our conversation led her to rethink her stance. After I explained that Rep. Ruben Gallego and Kamala Harris support abortion up until birth, she realized she couldn’t support that position. Suzan told me she won’t be voting Democrat this year.” – Hiram in Arizona
“Carol didn’t know that Democrat Senate candidate Elissa Slotkin was pro-abortion. After a lengthy conversation where I explained Slotkin’s position on abortion, Carol was grateful for the information and said she won’t be voting for either Slotkin or Harris this year!” – Caleb in Michigan
“This young father was an undecided voter and had no idea about the radical pro-abortion beliefs of Ruben Gallego and Kamala Harris. After I explained their positions, he exclaimed that he couldn’t support them. He requested ballot forms for himself and his wife so they could vote for life in the upcoming election.” – Maria in Arizona
“This is Abigail, and she is pro-life. Despite this, she is still unsure about who to vote for in the Gubernatorial and Presidential races. I shared information about Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Josh Stein‘s pro-abortion stance, as well as the extreme pro-abortion and anti-family positions of Harris and Walz. I encouraged her to do her research, and I’m confident she will be voting Republican this year.” – Carrie in North Carolina
“Though Mrs. S. is pro-life, she was undecided on who she would vote for. After a detailed discussion about Senator Sherrod Brown‘s radical abortion policies and Bernie Moreno’s proposal to increase the child tax credit, she expressed strong interest in voting for Moreno over Brown.” – Sebastian in Ohio
When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, our movement was given a historic opportunity. But the battle for life became much more difficult.
