Americans Are More Pro-life Than Ever in the Face of Biden Democrats’ Extremism
Washington, D.C. – On the eve of the March for Life in Washington, D.C., the nation’s largest annual pro-life event, a new Marist/Knights of Columbus poll confirms that the overwhelming majority of Americans reject current U.S. abortion policy, set by Supreme Court precedent, that allows abortion on demand up to birth:
The Supreme Court has said it will address whether all pre-viability abortion limits are unconstitutional in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The Court heard oral arguments in the case on December 1, 2021 and a decision is expected by the summer of 2022.
One year into the Biden administration, the poll also found strong opposition to taxpayer-funded abortion and mail-order abortion pills, key planks of the Democratic Party agenda on abortion:
SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser welcomed the new poll results, saying:
“Life is winning in hearts and minds across America. For almost 50 years the Supreme Court has tied the hands of elected leaders nationwide as they strive to protect the unborn and their mothers, even from late-term abortions that inflict excruciating pain on children in the womb. Now, that right may finally be restored and the will of the people reflected in the law. This is the moment the pro-life movement has worked tirelessly to bring about – our greatest opportunity to enact ambitious laws that save millions of lives. Americans have soundly rejected the extreme agenda of pro-abortion Democrats led by Joe Biden. Science, compassion and overwhelming public consensus all demand that we modernize our laws.”
SBA List is a network of 900,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
