700+ Canvassers Have Visited More than Two Million Battleground State Voters at their Homes Well Before Election Day to Defeat Pro-abortion Senators

Washington, D.C.  – The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) today released the following statement:

“SBA List’s field team of more than 700 pro-life canvassers has visited more than two million voters at their doors as part of an historic effort to educate and mobilize voters for the 2018 midterm election,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “SBA List canvassers reached this ambitious goal well ahead of Election Day and will continue reaching out every day to pro-life voters who don’t always get to the polls, as well as persuadable Democrats, Independents, and Hispanic voters. Our canvassers effectively cut through the noise of television and radio ads one conversation at a time, educating voters about their senator’s extreme pro-abortion record and the importance of this election. We are taking the fight for a pro-life Senate to the neighborhoods of key battleground states like Ohio, Indiana, Florida, Missouri, North Dakota, West Virginia and Montana, where vulnerable senators up for re-election have betrayed their constituents by failing to protect unborn babies and their mothers. They will be held accountable at the ballot box. We are so proud of our field team for reaching this milestone in record time.”

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 690,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
