On Tuesday, the SBA List claimed a grassroots victory in the passage of a Senate Department of Defense Authorization Bill not containing the Burris Amendment.  The amendment would have allowed taxpayer dollars to subsidize the doctors, facilities and equipment used to perform abortion procedures on foreign and domestic military bases.  Christian and pro-life media picked up on the significance of this victory for the pro-life grassroots who’d lobbied heavily against the amendment’s inclusion.

On Wednesday, the SBA List released its first round of RNC Chair candidate Skype interviews and sent them to their network of more than 500,000 socially conservative grassroots activists, encouraging them to vote for questions addressing the Life issue on RNCDebate.org and ask local RNC members to elect a chairman who will provide pro-life leadership in the GOP.  This grassroots push was reported on in national outlets like the New York Times Caucus blog and in several political outlets like Politico, CNN’s Political Ticker and The Hill.

Throughout the week, conservative and Christian bloggers and syndicated columnists inside the DC Beltway continued sounding off about the federal defamation lawsuit.
