Columbia, S.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Alan Wilson, South Carolina’s longest-serving state attorney general, in the race for governor.

“Alan Wilson has served with distinction as South Carolina’s chief law enforcement officer through some of the most historic moments for life—and biggest tests of leadership—for the state and nation. From navigating the landmark Supreme Court victory overturning Roe v. Wade, to protecting unborn babies from the moment their heartbeat is detected, to defunding abortion giant Planned Parenthood, he has a strong and well-established pro-life record,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America. “An incredible team, Wilson and his running mate State Senator Mike Reichenbach are both sons by adoption with powerful personal testimonies. They stand in stark contrast to the Democrats and their obsession with imposing painful late-term abortions, paid for by taxpayers, with no limits right up to birth.

“South Carolinians have a crystal clear choice on their ballot this fall. We are proud to back pro-life champions Alan Wilson and Mike Reichenbach for governor and lieutenant governor. This is the time for pro-life voters from every corner of the state to come together and work for victory in this crucial election, which will decide the fate of countless children for years to come.”

This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its affiliated entities plan to spend $80 million to protect life across America. The groups’ voter contact program—the largest and most effective of its kind in the country—includes reaching 10 million voters across Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Iowa, Ohio, Montana, Georgia and Texas as well as South Carolina. Previously, the group visited the homes of more than 100,000 South Carolina voters in two deployments ahead of the June primary for the re-election of Sen. Lindsey Graham.
