Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Jennifer Balkcom in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District. Balkcom is also endorsed by President Donald Trump and U.S. Senator Ted Budd. Early voting runs from October 15-31 and Election Day is November 3.

“A mom and legislator with a strong work ethic and deep North Carolina roots, Jennifer Balkcom has been a consistent ally and voice for life in Raleigh and we’re proud to endorse her,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America and a Greenville native. “When then-Governor Roy Cooper vetoed protections for unborn babies from brutal second and third trimester abortions, along with funding for children, families and maternal health—on Mother’s Day weekend no less—Jennifer stood up to the governor to override that cowardly act. The Democrat in this race, Jamie Ager, keeps his unpopular no-limits stance abortion on the down low, but his backing from radical Big Abortion lobby groups like Planned Parenthood gives it away. He’ll vote in lock step to impose Massachusetts-style abortion on demand up to birth, even of perfectly healthy babies who can feel pain, paid for by taxpayers, in North Carolina and every state. This is the real, stark contrast North Carolinians face this fall. We must fight back for our state and elect champions like Jennifer to stand up for women and children.”

Balkcom is a small business owner and state representative, first elected to the North Carolina House in 2022 and now serving her second term representing District 117. An eighth-generation Western North Carolinian, Balkcom grew up on her family’s apple farm in Henderson County. She earned an associate degree from Blue Ridge Community College and has worked in banking and finance for more than 25 years. She lives in Hendersonville with her husband, Clint, and their son.

This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its affiliated entities plan to spend $80 million to protect life across America. The groups’ voter contact program—the largest and most effective of its kind in the country—includes reaching 10 million voters across Iowa, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Montana, Georgia and Texas as well as North Carolina through Election Day to defeat pro-abortion Democrats and elect pro-life candidates in the gubernatorial, U.S. Senate, and key House races. Previously in the 2024 cycle, the groups made 575,000 visits to voters’ homes in North Carolina—an SBA stronghold—to defeat Kamala Harris and the Democrats’ pro-abortion agenda.
