Raleigh, N.C. – Today, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America announced that its North Carolina Voter Contact Program—undertaken in conjunction with partner Women Speak Out PAC—has surpassed 750,000 visits to voters’ homes to defeat pro-abortion Democrats in the midterms. The program that is focused in Charlotte, Raleigh, Fayetteville and the Triad regions plans to reach 1 million homes by Election Day.

This morning, SBA Pro-Life America’s Candidate Fund endorsed Jennifer Balkcom in North Carolina’s 11^thCongressional District. Earlier this year, the group endorsed Michael Whatley for U.S. Senate and Laurie Buckhout for U.S. House in NC-01, one of the most competitive and high-stakes House races in the country. SBA and WSO’s field program is the largest, most effective pro-life program of its kind in the nation, and the partners previously announced plans to contact 10.5 million voters this cycle.

Whatley thanked SBA Pro-Life America and its partners for reaching voters ahead of the election:

 North Carolina State Director Brooke Baker described the team’s engagement on the ground:

“Our canvassers are having really powerful conversations at the doors across North Carolina. Regardless of whether residents lean more liberal or more conservative, late-term abortion is a very uniting and mobilizing issue. So many people are shocked when they learn how extreme Roy Cooper and the Democrats actually are on abortion, including their push for painful late-term abortions. I’ve seen minds change right there at the door. Some have told me they’re going to show up at the polls because of these conversations, and others shared they’re seriously rethinking their voting plans.”

In addition to North Carolina, the program is focused on low-turnout and persuadable voters in states such as Iowa, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Montana, Georgia, and other critical battlegrounds for securing pro-life House and Senate majorities, as well as pro-life governors.
