Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Judge Tano Tijerina in Texas’ 28^th Congressional District.

“We are thrilled to endorse Judge Tano Tijerina for Congress in Texas’ 28^th District,” said the Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA Pro-Life America’s vice president of government affairs. “Judge Tijerina is the only pro-life choice in this race. As an adoptive father, he understands the immense value and worth of every single human being and will work to protect their God-given rights in Washington, D.C. Henry Cuellar claims to be a moderate on abortion, but his record shows otherwise—which is why he’s earned an F on our scorecard for every single one of his terms in Congress. When it matters most, Rep. Cuellar consistently finds a way to sell out the unborn, voting to force taxpayers to fund Big Abortion businesses and protecting criminals who ignore Texas’ pro-life laws. It’s time for Texas to retire Henry Cuellar and elect a congressman like Tano Tijerina who truly shares their commitment to defending life.”

Born and raised in Laredo, Tano Tijerina spent several seasons as a minor league baseball player before returning to the state to obtain his degree from Texas A&M International University. Since 2015, Tijerina has served as Webb County judge, winning election to three consecutive terms. He and his wife Kimberly have five children. Early voting runs from October 19-30, and Election Day is November 3.
