Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its partner, Women Speak Out PAC, are on track to contact over 10.5 million voters this election cycle, including 4 million in-person visits to voters.

A winning component of our strategy is reaching voters at their door with our Student Canvasser Program. I am an alumnus of this program, and it really helped me become more involved in the pro-life movement.

How does it work?

What started as an initiative of a pro-life club at Steubenville University 11 years ago has grown into a strategic political operation! Over the last 11 years, our student program has grown into a network of more than 1,000 college students from across the country, representing over 100 universities.

SBA’s student program is how I learned about the work SBA and its affiliates do. It also helped me learn more about the movement and shaped my career. Prior to joining SBA full time, I went on several pro-life student deployments in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.

During the South Carolina deployment, I learned about career opportunities with SBA, kept in touch, and successfully landed my position as our Donor Relations Coordinator, where I continue to advance SBA’s mission each day.

On the ground – visiting voters in Detroit

As a full-time staffer, I recently had the opportunity to travel from D.C. to the frontlines. Over the course of just a few days in Detroit, 50 college students completed more than 54,000 visits to voters! These students had the privilege of engaging with voters, having real conversations, and advancing our pro-life mission throughout the Detroit area.

The students were canvassing in support of pro-life candidates Mike Rogers and Tom Barrett, but what stood out to me was not just the political aspect – it was the students’ conviction. I had a chance to speak with several of the canvassers, asking them a simple question: Why are you pro-life? And why do you keep coming back to join SBA on student deployments?

Their answers were thoughtful, personal, and often deeply moving. Some mentioned their faith as a driving reason for being pro-life. Others shared personal experiences that shaped their understanding and conviction on the issue. Many talked about the importance of protecting the vulnerable and giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Across all the answers I received, one theme was present: the students who canvass for SBA & WSO PAC believe this work matters, and they have seen the impact firsthand.

It was an incredible operation to witness, especially from the perspective of a full-time employee. Our work matters, and no other organization is on the ground in these races, delivering the margin of victory.

For the 2026 election cycle our students are deploying into key House, Senate, and Gubernatorial battlegrounds. Our student teams have already completed 1 million visits to voters this cycle and will do an additional 10 deployments before election day.
