The Pro-Life American Episode 1: Women Harmed By Abortion Drugs Lobby Congress

Three women sit in chairs during a Pro-Life American podcast recording, with one woman speaking into a microphone. Text in the bottom corner reads The Pro-Life American Podcast.

Host Sinta Jimenez sits down with three women who came to Washington, D.C. to tell legislators what abortion drugs did to them — and why women today are even less protected than they were.

Elizabeth was coerced into taking abortion drugs at Planned Parenthood in 2010 after being shown a still ultrasound image and told her baby wasn’t viable. She had no informed consent, no follow-up care, and no idea the drug carried a black box warning. She bled enormously, delivered a recognizable human baby alone on her bathroom floor, and lives today with complex PTSD. “My heart might know that I’m healed… my body is broken because of what this medication did to me.”

Haley was told she’d have “maybe a heavier menstrual cycle.” Hours later she was bleeding into a bathtub drain, too weak to reach her phone, and woke up in a hospital receiving a blood transfusion. Now abortion drugs ship to doorsteps “just like Amazon orders” — with no medical supervision at all.

Jessica, a healthcare provider, ordered abortion drugs online through a brief chat and had them shipped to a hotel across state lines. Pressured by her then-husband, she took the first dose — then found abortion drug reversal. Her daughter is about to turn four. No one ever asked if she was being coerced. “We have a pledge to do no harm, and I don’t know why the abortion drug is an exception to that.”

Three stories. One message for lawmakers: women deserve transparency, safety, informed consent, and a national standard that stops unregulated mail-order abortion drugs.
