The nation’s largest abortion provider topped $1 billion in total net assets in 2009-2010, its first time reaching that mark, according to Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report.
The report, released Friday, is sure to rekindle Republican lawmakers’ efforts to defund the organization in 2012. Five of the GOP presidential candidates have also signed a pledge to defund Planned Parenthood.
