Trump, Vance Deliver Wins for Moms & Babies Along With Historic March for Life Addresses

Washington, D.C. – Today aboard Air Force One, President Trump took the federal government in a new direction by cementing the Hyde Amendment and reinstating the Global Protect Life policy.

SBA Pro-Life America President Majorie Dannenfelser praised Trump, saying:

“With this action the president is getting American taxpayers out of the abortion business and restoring sanity to the federal government. This is a big win for babies and mothers, and it reflects the will of the majority of Americans who strongly oppose bankrolling the abortion industry at home and abroad. On behalf of pro-life Americans and the moms and babies that will be saved from the tragedy of abortion, thank you, President Trump.”

More pro-life actions Trump and his administration have taken so far include:

• Speaking to the March for Life, the nation’s largest annual pro-life demonstration.
• Issuing a Statement of Administration Policy supporting the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This bill – which simply requires medical personnel to “exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health” of a baby who survives a failed abortion attempt as with any other baby born at the same gestational age – passed the House this week but was blocked in the Senate when every Democrat voted against it.
• Pardoning pro-life Americans jailed by the Biden-Harris administration for peacefully protesting abortion.
• Withdrawing from the pro-abortion World Health Organization.
• Canceling the Biden-Harris Department of Health & Human Services’ pro-abortion website.

A new Marist/Knights of Columbus nationwide poll released this week confirms seven in 10 Americans want limits on abortion. Fifty-seven percent of Americans, including 54% of women, oppose using tax dollars to fund abortion domestically (29% “strongly” oppose) and 73% oppose using tax dollars to fund abortion abroad.

President Trump’s Global Protect Life Rule applies to all foreign health assistance provided by government agencies. In 2020, the U.S. State Department found 99.4% of more than 1,300 prime awardees were complying with the policy, with the major exceptions including pro-abortion International Planned Parenthood Federation and Marie Stopes International.
