Washington, D.C. – Tonight the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund celebrated its endorsed candidate Dan Bishop’s victory in the special election to represent North Carolina’s 9th District in Congress.

Ahead of the special election, SBA List’s partner PAC, Women Speak Out undertook a digital ad campaign urging North Carolina voters to elect Bishop.

“We congratulate Dan on his victory and look forward to working together to protect innocent lives,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA List and a North Carolina native. “He’s always been a champion for life, standing up to the radical abortion lobby. Dan has been a committed pro-life ally as a state Senator, sponsoring key legislation such as the Women and Children’s Protection Act, The Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act, and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. We are pleased to see him triumph over a radical pro-abortion opponent and are confident he will be a strong advocate for the unborn in Washington.”

Dan Bishop was born and raised in NC-09. He served as an attorney in the private sector before serving in the legislature. He lives with his wife Jo and their son, Jack.

SBA List is a network of more than 787,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
