Washington, D.C. — Today Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund endorsed U.S. Senator Thom Tillis for re-election in North Carolina.
In 2014, SBA List and its partner PAC, Women Speak Out visited the homes of more than 153,000 voters, made nearly 246,500 GOTV phone calls, and reached 1.2 million people through digital ads to elect Sen. Tillis.
“We are proud to endorse pro-life champion Senator Thom Tillis for re-election,” said SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser, a North Carolina native. “Senator Tillis is a great friend and ally of the pro-life movement. In the U.S. Senate, he’s worked tirelessly to protect babies who survive failed abortions, end cruel late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy when science shows unborn children can feel pain, and stop taxpayer funding of abortion. On the crucial Senate Judiciary Committee, he has led the charge to confirm President Trump’s judicial nominees. At a time when Democrats in Congress – including every Democratic senator running for president in 2020 – are doubling down on an extreme agenda of abortion on demand through birth and even infanticide, we need Thom’s strong pro-life leadership in the Senate more than ever. We urge the voters of North Carolina to re-elect him.”
Thom Tillis has represented North Carolina in the Senate since 2015. He is a co-sponsor of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, the Conscience Protection Act, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act. Previously he served as Republican Whip of the North Carolina House of Representatives, and then as House Speaker. Before serving in office, Sen. Tillis had a successful business career at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and IBM.
SBA List is a network of more than 787,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
