Pro-life Congressman Seeks Second Term
Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Representative Don Bacon for re-election in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District.
“SBA List is proud to endorse Representative Don Bacon, whose commitment to the pro-life agenda is unshakeable,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Rep. Bacon has co-sponsored legislation to stop late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy and ensure equal protections for babies who survive failed abortions. He has fought tirelessly to end taxpayer funding of the abortion industry. His opponent, Kara Eastman, is an extremist backed by the radical pro-abortion group EMILY’s List. We encourage voters in this deeply pro-life state to send Rep. Bacon to Washington to continue standing up for unborn children and their mothers, as well as the taxpayers of Nebraska.”
Don Bacon was first elected to Congress in 2016. He is a former United States Air Force Brigadier General, serving from 1985-2014. During his service, he received the Distinguished Service Medal, two Legion of Merits, two Bronze Stars, and was selected as Europe’s top Air Force Wing Commander in 2009.
Rep. Bacon is a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, the Preventing Maternal Deaths Act, and the Conscience Protection Act as well as legislation to stop taxpayer funding of abortion. He and his wife Angie and their four children live in Papillion, Nebraska.
