Student Canvassers Ahead of Schedule Educating KS Voters on Value Them Both Amendment
Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its partner Women Speak Out PAC (WSO PAC) announced that their Kansas ground team has hit their goal of 250,000 visits to voters in person at their doors ahead of the August 2 primary. They have worked hard to educate voters on the Value Them Both constitutional amendment and reached their goal earlier than expected.
“Our student canvassers in Kansas are some of the most hardworking and dedicated pro-life activists, and we are excited to announce today that our team will make over 250,000 visits to Kansas voters at their homes before the August primary, faster than anticipated,” said Mallory Carroll, vice president of communications for SBA Pro-Life America. “The Value Them Both Amendment restores the rights of Kansans to enact life-affirming laws that protect moms and babies from the horror of abortion, and our canvassers have been working overtime to meet voters at their door and urge them to vote ‘YES’ on this important amendment.”
The amendment is necessary after the Kansas Supreme Court found an alleged right to abortion in the state when they struck down Kansas’ ban on brutally painful dismemberment abortions. Currently, painful late abortions up to 22 weeks are legal in the state. SBA Pro-Life America is investing at least $1.3 million in educating voters on the Value Them Both Amendment. This includes canvassing, digital ads, and voter contact mail.
This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its affiliated entities plan to spend $78 million to protect life across America. This includes reaching eight million voters across battleground states – four million directly at their doors – to educate them on key issues and win pro-life majorities in the U.S. House and Senate. In June the field team crossed an historic threshold, having already visited more than two million homes across battleground states ahead of Election Day.
