Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America’s Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Jim Banks for U.S. Senate in Indiana.
“Jim Banks is a fierce and unapologetic champion of life, and we enthusiastically endorse him for U.S. Senate,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America. “As a congressman and a father, Jim never backs down from the fight to protect our most vulnerable children. In the House he has been a stalwart opponent of Pelosi Democrats’ attempts to expand abortion on demand until birth, paid for by taxpayers. In his role as Republican Study Committee chair he has vocally exposed discrimination against nonprofit pregnancy centers that serve women and families. His tenacity is exactly what we need in a divided Senate to hold Biden and Schumer accountable for their radical pro-abortion agenda.”

Banks has received an A+ on SBA Pro-Life America’s National Pro-Life Scorecard for his consistent record of pro-life leadership, which includes co-sponsoring legislation to stop brutal late-term abortions when unborn children can feel pain; protect unborn children when their heartbeat can be detected; rein in dangerous mail-order abortion drugs; permanently end federal taxpayer funding of abortion; and ensure that babies born alive receive the same medical care afforded to any other newborn of the same gestational age.
A native Hoosier born and raised in Columbia City, Banks served in the state Senate from 2010-2016. From 2014-2015 he served in Afghanistan during Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel. Banks was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2016. He and his wife Amanda have three daughters.
