FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 6, 2023
Washington, D.C. –Today SBA Pro-Life America’s Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Russell Coleman (R) for attorney general of Kentucky.
“Russell Coleman has dedicated his career to the preservation and protection of our most fundamental rights, including the right to life. We are certain that he will be an ardent defender of unborn children and their mothers as Kentucky’s next attorney general,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA Pro-Life America’s vice president of government affairs. “As pro-abortion Democrats in Washington and pro-abortion governor Andy Beshear try to encroach on the will of the people to push abortion on demand, it’s more important than ever that Kentuckians have strong pro-life leaders to defend them. They deserve a governor and attorney general, like Daniel Cameron and Russell Coleman, who will work together to fight for their values. We are proud to endorse Russell Coleman for attorney general and encourage pro-life voters to send him and Daniel Cameron to Frankfort this fall.”
Coleman served as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky from 2017 to 2021. A lifelong Kentuckian and graduate of the University of Kentucky Law School, he started his career as a Special Agent with the FBI before serving as legal counsel in the U.S. Senate and in the Department of Justice. Upon returning to Kentucky, he practiced law at Frost Brown Todd in Louisville and served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. He and his wife Ashley have three young children and live in Oldham County.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is a network of more than one million pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
