Washington, D.C. –Today SBA Pro-Life America’s Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore (R) for Congress in the 14th District.
“Under Speaker Moore’s bold leadership, North Carolina has taken historic steps forward to serve moms and save babies and we’re proud to endorse him for Congress,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA Pro-Life America’s vice president of government affairs. “With Speaker Moore at the helm, North Carolina protected at least 3,000 lives a year from abortion at 12 weeks – a point when babies in the womb suck their thumbs, have recognizable faces, respond to touch and more. At the same time, he and his colleagues passed $160 million in support for women and families including child care and parental leave, all while standing up to override pro-abortion Governor Cooper’s veto. In the Dobbs era, this compassionate, creative leadership and fearlessness to act on the will of the people is exactly what we need at every level of government. Moore is a lifelong resident of Kings Mountain and is an attorney. He was elected to the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2002. In 2015, he was elected speaker and is the longest serving House speaker in state history. Moore has two sons.
